Attaching skin to Rex
Ok, its been a while since I posted anything. I’ve been busy with work and moving. I have just made a quick render of the last thing I have been working on.
I have been trying to work out how bones, and then skin, and skin weights work. I have given Rex some simple bones, and I have then done some tests using his back left leg.
In this simple animation, he moves his hip, then his knee, then his ankle. They seem to stay attached to his body, and deform how I want them to after I spend a while getting their weights right.
Next he looks up and down, using his neck joint.
Doesn’t look like much, but I’m quite happy with it, as I am now starting to see how bones and skin work.
